Amusement Park Lines

I’m curious about the math that goes on behind the staffing of rides at amusement parks. It appears that they know the minimum staffing and minimum cars they can run without making people mad enough that they won’t come back.

Google Powermeter

Google Powermeter gives you a way to watch your energy usage with a web application.  It works with our TED 5000 and I think some utilities offer a way to connect to it automatically. It is pretty amazing to watch how much of a difference a few degrees on the thermostat makes.

Bare Galvalume Roof Temperature

So far the bare galvalume roof seems to be lowering the temperature on the underside of the decking by about 10 degrees. This is compared to the sections with Rex (gray colored tar paper substitute).  I don’t have a way to compare it to the brown/black shingles, but I’m guessing the difference there would be even greater.

Dangerous Laptop

It seems my laptop was simply too dangerous to take into the Johnson County Community College Art Museum. The security guard told me I’d have to leave it in a large unlocked closet if I wanted to go into the museum.  I must not be devious enough.  I can’t imagine what horrible things I could do to the art with my computer.

Site Chat

I hate it when a website pops up with a chat box to answer my questions, but it only connects me to someone who knows less about their product line than I do. I’m looking at you Sprint.
