I understand that tooth paste companies have a hard time selling in China because conventional wisdom over there says, “Tigers don’t brush their teeth and look how healthy they are.” Also there is a very different perception of what a “fresh” mouth should taste like. Mint and typical US flavors don’t feel clean. That is why you will find things like green tea flavored toothpaste in China.
Separate Inboxes
One thing that has been bugging me on my blackberry is the way it showed SMS and email in the same inbox. I’ve missed quite a few SMS messages because of this. Anyway, it turns out if you go into the combined inbox, hit the BB key and select options, you can tell it to separate them.
ADHD and younger kids
Up to 1 million children are thought to have been mis-diagnosed with ADHD simply because they were the youngest in their classes and therefor acted–well younger.
Highway strollers
The other day I saw two guys pushing strollers along 54 highway out in the middle of nowhere. When I came back by it looked like the strollers contained their backpacks. My best guess is that they were walking across the state or country and decided that the backpacks were too hot to wear, so they bought some strollers to push them in.
Having a bad day…
While most flight attendants probably dream of telling off a rude passenger, Steven Slater of Jet Blue actually cursed out the passengers over the PA system, activated the inflatable emergency exit slide and used it to leave the plane and head home. He took couple of beers from plane for the ride. This all happened after a passenger hit him in the head with a piece of luggage and refused to apologize. On the tram ride to his car, he took of his company issued tie and threw it out the window. He has since been arrested for criminal mischief and trespassing. Sounds like someone was having a bad day.
