So far the bare galvalume roof seems to be lowering the temperature on the underside of the decking by about 10 degrees. This is compared to the sections with Rex (gray colored tar paper substitute). I don’t have a way to compare it to the brown/black shingles, but I’m guessing the difference there would be even greater.
