Save Energy By Conserving Food

As much as 27% of food in the United States goes to waste. Food production takes a great deal of energy. Some rough calculations have shown that eliminating this waste would save enough energy to run 50 million households in the United States.

Planned Birthdates

When we were in Mexico we were surprised to find out how many middle class families get c-sections and used formula instead of breastfeeding. Evidently, natural births and breastfeeding is associated with being poor so the people who can afford it avoid these options. In India astrology has a very big impact on how people live their lives. Arranged marriages consider the date, hour and even minute of the couple’s birth. Parents are request c-sections scheduled for the exact day that their astrologer deems “best”. In some cases they even request a specific 15 minute window for their child’s birth.

Phone Prank

When I was in highschool, we once tried to call random people from payphones and then put the phones together. In college we’d call two people, connect them and then just start conferencing in as many random people as possible. Later on, we found a way to get Sprint to call people and connect them to their call center operators.

Still I think the call below beats anything we did.
